Programs
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) seeks to empower impoverished children and youth through the provision of school fees and
scholastic materials, income generation support, healthcare, and basic necessities. Working in conjunction with organizations
like Hope for Ugandan Students (HUGS) and ugive2uganda, over 70 children and youth are currently receiving support, and the
numbers are continually growing.
When a youth is selected for sponsorship, the YEP Coordinator sends a picture and information to the sponsor, and throughout
the course of the sponsorship, maintains regular contact with the sponsor and sends updates about the sponsored youth.
Many of the sponsored youth are able to attend the FDNC Vocational Skills Training Center or the Kisakye Memorial Special
Needs Center free of charge. This allows students who would normally be unable to pay the necessary fees involved to receive
education and training for future success.
FDNC is committed to using only 10% of the funds sent by sponsors for administrative costs.
